It is reported that o-phenylphenol is used to synthesize cholesterol ester hydrolysis inhibitors, antispasmodic drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics and some skin diseases.
Other applications
O-phenylphenol can also be used to synthesize developer for pressure sensitive and heat sensitive paper, and o-phenylphenol can react with BCl3 to obtain antioxidant and anti fatigue agent for lubricating oil. The compound prepared by the reaction of o-phenylphenol and glycerin can be used for the modification of fibers, the stabilizer of chlorinated organic compounds, the reactive diluent and modifier of synthetic resins, and also the reaction intermediate.
In conclusion, o-phenylphenol is widely used. With the further research and development of o-phenylphenol, its application field will be expanded. Of course, it is also non-toxic.
